This study guide provides information on one of the urgent problems o f cardiovascular diseases - heart defects. The study guide presents modern concepts of heart defects, their etiopathogenesis, hemodynamic changes, clinical signs, modern principles o f diagnosing heart defects, and an algorithm for managing and treating patients with this diagnosis. The study guide is written based on clinical observations, as well as the results o f laboratory and instrumental studies ofpatients with heart defects. The author describes in detail modem approaches to the management, diagnosis, treatment, and management strategies o f patients with heart defects. The presented study guide is compiled in accordance with the standard and working programs for training master's students in the specialty "Cardiology" (70910205) and meets the requirements o f the state educational standard.
