This study guide provides detailed information on the etiology, epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical course, and diagnostic methods of acute intestinal infectious diseases. It presents basic information on the etiology, epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical presentation, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of intestinal infectious diseases in children. Particular attention is paid to the specific features of the symptoms, course, and treatment of these diseases in infants and newborns. Information is presented on the immunological reactivity of children of different ages. Issues of preventing nosocomial infections and cross-infection are covered.
