This study guide provides information on one of the urgent problems of cardiovascular diseases - heart defects. The study guide  presents modern concepts of heart defects, their etiopathogenesis, hemodynamic changes, clinical signs, modern principles of diagnosing heart defects, and an algorithm for managing and treating patients with this diagnosis. The study guide  is written based on clinical observations, as well as the results of laboratory and instrumental studies of patients with heart defects. The author describes in detail modern approaches to the management, diagnosis, treatment, and management strategies of patients with heart defects. The presented study guide  is compiled in accordance with the standard and working programs for training master's students in the specialty "Cardiology" (70910205) and meets the requirements of the state educational standard.
